Awareness meeting for coconut farmers on pest control
Horticulture staff gave advice on pest problems seen in Konaseema coconut groves.
An awareness meeting on pest control was held for coconut farmers in Gadilanka. Horticulture staff said keeping groves clean — without piles of waste and rotting logs — reduces the chances of pests breeding.
Farmers were asked to inform staff immediately if they see holes in the crown or drying leaves, and not to use chemicals on their own.
